Latest Technology, Best Features

Based on contactless smart cards, this system contains many features not found in other systems:


 

  • A single pass card could hold up to five season passes for the person

  • The card contains a high-security e-purse that holds up to RM1000.00 in electronic tokens that can be used at any affiliated TnP car parks and accredited vending machines and terminals at food courts and other public places.

  • Up to 10,000 sites and operators may be linked to a single TnP system.

  • Rebates can be directly programmed into the cards.

 

Reduce Hassle with e-Purse

The e-purse replaces loose coins and small change and thereby reduces money handling and speed up transactions. A closed-loop e-token cycle is implemented where e-tokens are transferred from card to card. Different debit and credit keys create a virtual e-token flow where e-token distribution and collection can be strictly regulated and tracked. Revenue can be channeled to the respective operator.

Furthermore, during a transaction, the card and terminal authenticate each other's validity, a process called mutual authentication, and a fraudulent card would fail this process. Equipment vandalism is also reduced because of the absence of money in the terminals.

 

Flexibility

Six time zones with different parking rates can be implemented with the TnP system. Drivers can be charged a flat rate per entry, by time blocks or even a differential rate depending on parking duration. Special holiday rates and grace period are also catered for.

Merchants could give incentives to their customers in the form of parking fee rebates, such as complimentary parking time, a fixed courtesy rate per entry or complimentary e-tokens to offset their parking fee.

 

Care for the Environment

As opposed to disposable paper-based tickets, TnP visitor cards can be re-programmed after each use and recycled, which translate to tremendous savings and better environment protection. The card can serve as an advertising media to generate further revenue. A captivating card design would appeal to souvenir collectors too.
